SOFT SPACES exhibition & workshop June 23-24  Opening: Saturday 23 June 2018 17:00- 21:30 Sunday 24 June 2018 13:00-17:00 Soft Within presents SOFT SPACES, a pop up exhibition & workshop, in Straße 55, a new art space located at Simplonstrasse 55, in Berlin. The show features a collaborative installation by nine female artists. SOFT SPACES focuses on the concept of safe spaces using the quintessential ‘adolescent’ bedroom as a backdrop to question not only their validity but ability to truly exist outside the self -a safe space of one.  By means of various mediums such as painting, sculpture, and video installation the gallery space transforms into an intimate place to pose conversation. What does a safe space mean to individuals? What does it take to create a safe space online or IRL? In zwei Ausstellungen präsentiert die GEDOK Berlin die Werke von 15 neu aufgenommenen Künstlerinnen, die von einer Fachjury ausgewählt wurden.  Die erste Ausstellung, „#NEUAUFNAHMEN 1“, ist vom 8.-25. März 2018 zu sehen.
